Program 

Departure from the lakeside of Ascona by bicycle in the early morning with backpack on your shoulder and everything you need ready for the excursion. By bicycle you can reach the locality of Pozzuolo (1'181m) passing through the Monti di Ronco Sopra Ascona.

In Pozzuolo the cycling section ends and the trekking on foot up to Pizzo Leone (1659m) begins. The path starts from the little church of Pozzuolo and reaches Alpe Naccio (1395 m). Before starting the last stretch of ascent to Pizzo, you will arrive at a Belvedere on which a cross stands. All along the climb through woods and meadows you can enjoy spectacular views of the lake, the islands of Brissago, and the jagged peaks of Ghiridone. Once at the top, the view extends not only to the lake but also to the Alpine chain dominated by Monte Rosa and the Centovalli.

During the winter months it is a perfect excursion to be faced with snowshoes and / or with sealskins with the possibility of facing downhill sections skiing along the gullies up to Alpe di Naccio having the impression to ski literally suspended above the lake. This possibility will be evaluated near the date of the excursion and communicated to all participants taking into account the snow conditions.

Once we get back down to Pozzuolo we will face the descent by bike to Ascona to enjoy a well-deserved aperitif on the lakefront.
