Program

Day 1: Flüelen - Gersau

Early morning meeting at Flüelen train station where your guides Jan and Luca will be waiting for you.

After preparing your Sup, checking the material together and drinking a good coffee, we will set off towards the picturesque village of Bauen where the first break of the day is scheduled. The frame of the lake of the 4 cantons with its crystal clear water and the still snow-capped peaks of the mountains all around will immediately give us sensations and breathtaking views.

The journey continues along the west side of the lake until it reaches the Grütli dock at noon, considered the "cradle of Switzerland". After a short climb on foot we will reach the mythical "meadow" where the oath of alliance between the cantons of Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden was taken on 1 August 1291, known as the Grütli Pact.

After the visit and packed lunch on the meadow we will return to the water to continue our journey, skirting the Seelisberg and then turning west towards Gersau. We will reach our hotel in the late afternoon directly from the water. We will stay overnight in  Hotel in Gersau, a suggestive place with a beautiful restaurant terrace with a breathtaking view of the lake.

Day 2 Gersau- Lucerne

After breakfast, we will put the Sup back in the water in the direction of Lucerne. Always keeping close to the coast, we will pass under the slopes of the beautiful Bürgenstock mountain.

The last open water crossing will take us to Kastanienbaum from where we will go up the coast to the city of Lucerne  that it will be possible to admire in the approach from an unprecedented  prospect.

The epic conclusion of our adventure will be the passage under the Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge), the much-photographed wooden pedestrian bridge of the city of Lucerne built between 1300 and 1333.

For the return home we recommend the train, which in less than two hours connects Lucerne with the main cities of the Canton of Ticino.
